The MHC Club of Chicago builds community among alums, current students, and their families throughout the Chicagoland region. There are about 500 alums living in the city and surrounding suburbs, many of whom participate in Club activities in person and virtually. The Club sponsors frequent events across our region and co-sponsors yet more with other MHC regional clubs and affinity groups and with our local Seven Sisters and Ivy League counterparts.

Anchor Events

Our annual events include:

• Mary Lyon’s birthday brunches (late February)
• Welcome event for newly accepted students (April)
• Strawberries and champagne (May/June)
• Annual meeting and executive board elections (summer)
• Summer send-off for returning and matriculating students (July/August)
• Mountain Day ice cream reunions (fall)
• Milk and cookies open houses for prospective students (October/November)
• Recent alum holiday brunch (December)

Our book club meets monthly and local admission volunteers attend college fairs and other recruitment events year-round. In addition to our annual anchor events, we host a range of other gatherings and programming including movie screenings, theatre outings, book readings, community service, play dates, and concerts.
